He was already placing ceramic implants in 1998, when they were still new territory. Today he treats patients in Kiel and Eckernförde – and has trained colleagues in ceramic implantology in over 30 countries.

Three things you should know
He placed his first ceramic implant in 1998, when there was no textbook for it yet. Since then he has helped develop ceramic implants and the techniques for placing them – always with a view to what works in the mouth in the long term. The SBLC concept for stable bone around the implant also comes from this experience.
More than 2,000 dentists have learned ceramic implantology from him – at congresses, in courses and as a guest lecturer at universities in Spain. Everything he teaches comes from his own practice in Kiel and Eckernförde.
All-ceramic restorations since 1992, implantology since 1993, ceramic implants since 1998. Behind the decision for zirconia there is no marketing idea, but 35 years of experience with what works in the mouth in the long term.
“Ceramic implants are the future. They offer particularly high biocompatibility, can be used flexibly and have increasingly proven themselves in everyday practice.”

Jan-Ole Lüttmann, M.Sc. Periodontology and Implant Therapy · Partner in the practice
Jan-Ole Lüttmann is a partner in the practice. He learned ceramic implantology from Dr. Ralf Lüttmann, additionally completed a Master of Science in Periodontology and Implant Therapy, and treats with the same techniques and the same care.
The Master of Science in Periodontology and Implant Therapy is a postgraduate university programme completed alongside clinical practice, concluded with a scientific master’s thesis – taken in the programme of the German Society of Periodontology (DG PARO) at Dresden International University. It combines two disciplines that belong together with implants: implantology and periodontology, the science of gums and bone. Anyone who masters both does not just place an implant, but understands why it lasts in the long term – and recognises inflammation of the bone before it becomes a problem.
Jan-Ole Lüttmann did not learn ceramic implantology from a textbook, but over years side by side with Dr. Ralf Lüttmann – with the same techniques, the same laboratory and the same standards. University training and practical experience from more than 2,000 ceramic implants thus go hand in hand.
As a partner in the practice, he stands for something that matters with implants: continuity. Planning, procedure, aftercare and the check-up in ten years’ time are in the same hands – in Kiel and Eckernförde.
Teaching and research
What Dr. Lüttmann passes on in courses and lectures comes from his own practice in Kiel and Eckernförde. In turn, the exchange with colleagues from around the world flows back into the treatment of his patients.
Universidade de Santiago de Compostela and Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
Lectures in more than 30 countries, including at ISMI and at international user congresses for ceramic implants.
Trained in the use of ceramic implants through courses, clinical observerships and live treatments.

Dentists and laboratory
With us, holistic preparatory treatment, a correct bite position, implant and crown all fit together. Surgery, prosthodontics and dental technology are under one roof – your crown is planned and made by the same people who placed your implant.

We match the shade and shape of your crown directly at the treatment chair. Long-term temporaries for immediate implant placement are made in-house and are often ready the same day. And if something needs adjusting, it is done without shipping and without waiting time.
